The day started off with a solid climb, then a quick descent into Ennis. I had a burger and shake for lunch, resupplied for the night, and set off for the Palisades Campground along the Madison River. It was nice riding, with mountains looming in the distance. The campground was pricey - $20 for pit toilets and running water. No discount for bikers. I packed out two “Pizza Subs” for dinner, and it was sufficient. The campground is on the river, with nice views of the mountain in the opposite direction.
